Resently, Prof. Lin Danming, Pro-Vice Chancellor of GTIIT, gave a wonderful speech about ideological and political education for all freshmen.

"GTIIT grows step by step." PVC Lin started the speech with a series of memorable photos and three precious videos about GTIIT's development history.

PVC Lin then enumerated a list of data about GTIIT, encouraging freshmen to cherish the present: GTIIT is the first sino-foreign cooperative university introducing high quality educational resources from Israel; over 60% staff are from Technion; more than 90% faculty members come from foreign countries; the value of scientific research equipment is 210,000 yuan per student(estimated according to the size of 1,000 students)...

Finally, PVC Lin introduced GTIIT's direction of future development and the seniors'excellent performance in various areas. He hoped the new students work hard and become the pillars of our nation.

"GTIIT possesses highly qualified international teachers, which helps us broaden horizons. As far as I know, this is not available in many universities in China," said Celin Chen, a Chemical Engineering student from Ecuador.

Rao Xinqiang from Materials Engineering said the lecture deepened his understanding of GTIIT. He now has a clearer goal to achieve in the next four years.
