GTIIT Education Foundation "Mingsheng Energy Technology Research Laboratory" Program (hereinafter the "Program") is now accepting application. It's a program launched by GTIIT Education Foundation(hereinafter the "Foundation"), aiming at funding high-quality, innovative and creative scientific research projects of GTIIT teachers and students. It is planned to select 6 to 8 high-quality seed breeding projects and each selected project will be granted from 30,000RMB to 100,000RMB approximately.

Eligible Applicants: All incumbent GTIIT teachers and students (including undergraduates, postgraduates and doctoral students) are eligible for this Program.

Funding amount for project: The Program shall provide each selected project with funding at a minimum amount of RMB 30,000.

Application Deadline: May 30,2025

Project Requirements:

• Projects shall have novel ideas and clear objectives. Projects demonstrating pioneering, cutting-edge, innovative elements and high-level theory and having technological research with significant application prospects will be encouraged.

• In principle, application shall be made by a team with up to six members (including project leader). Each project shall have one leader.

• In principle, incoming graduate students shall participate in the project as team members, not as project leader. An explanation shall be provided if needed.

• A person may only apply for one project as project leader, but may apply for two projects at most as a team member.

• The first project period is one year.

• GTIIT current students applying for this Program shall provide advisor's opinions.

Procedure:

• Application for funding (deadline: May 30)
  

Project leader shall download (click here or scan QR code) and fill in the Application Form according to the instructions. The printed version (5 copies) shall be delivered to Room A521, Administration Building of South Campus of GTIIT, and the electronic version (PDF) shall be sent to chen.kewen@gtiit.edu.cn (email subject: Foundation Project Application + applicant's name + applicant's phone number) before 5:30 pm of May 30, 2025. Late application will not be accepted.

• Evaluation of the project (Mid-June)

Expert panel appointed by GTIIT Foundation will assess the application materials and select the projects.

• Announcement of selected project (Late June)

Selected projects and the corresponding funding amount will be announced on GTIIT official website for 5 working days.  

• Method of funding

After the announcement period, Foundation and the selected project's applicant shall sign a project collaboration agreement, which shall set out the funding amount, implementation period, expected outcomes, etc. The funding shall be transferred to the project applicant after approval.

Project Management:

• The project leader shall not be changed in principle during the project period.

• If a member intends to withdraw from the project during its implementation, the member shall make a request. If the number of members requesting withdrawal reaches (or exceeds) 1/3 of the total number of team members, or the withdrawal of any member will significantly affect the project implementation, the approval and funding for the project will be canceled or withheld.

• GTIIT Education Foundation will track and manage the project pursuant to GTIIT Education Foundation Special Fund Management Regulations.
