On August 4th, the 2024 Cohort of Guangdong Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) arrived at the campus full of expectations and curiosity. As one of the earliest universities to commence the new academic year nationwide, the GTIIT campus is brimming with vitality. With the spirit of "Dream it, do it.", the freshmen are ready to embark on their journey through the preparatory semester, to better adapt to the science and engineering curriculum in the English-teaching environment.

Nice to meet you at GTIIT

"Welcome to GTIIT!" Enthusiastic volunteers, holding welcome signs, greeted GTIIT's freshemen from all corners of the country at airports and train stations.

Upon entering the GTIIT campus, the eye-catching welcome arches, uniquely designed photo spots, and ceremoniously arranged space settings attracted freshmen and their family and friends. Pictures are welcomed and encouraged to be taken in front of them.

New students verified their identities and personal information, and signed their names at the registration desks. From today on, they will officially become university students and write brand new chapters of youth.

The hardworking student volunteers and peer mentors can be seen everywhere—on campus paths, in dormitory areas, at material pickup points...They helped students select fitting GTIIT uniforms, distributed freshman material packs in an orderly manner, and patiently answered questions, featuring GTIIT spirits of dedication in details.

The bright and cozy dormitories, with a strong sense of belonging, are the homes where students will spend their university years.

There are delicious dishes with a wide variety of options in GTIIT's canteen. The students can unlock new taste sensations without leaving the campus.

On the day of registration, GTIIT held a parents' meeting for the Cohort 2024. Prof. Lin Danming, Pro-Vice Chancellor of GTIIT, along with heads of undergraduate programs and relevant departments, engaged in face-to-face discussions with parents, focusing on topics such as students' academic planning, daily life, further education and employment.

Freshmen's Interview

Chen Yuyang from Guangdong Province, a MSE freshman: I hope to improve my GPA, study hard, and participate in more campus activities! 

Liu Shuo from Henan Province, a ME freshman: I chose GTIIT because of its excellent environment, faculty, and the greater opportunities for studying abroad in the future. I hope to earn a scholarship during my university years!

Zhu Chenxuan from Jiangsu Province, a BFE freshman: I have many expectations for university life and hope to meet more new friends and learn more new knowledge!

Shi Zai from Zhejiang Province, a MCS freshman: I hope to study hard and earn a scholarship!

Zhang Zhuohang from Guangdong Province, a CE freshman: I hope to pass the preparatory semester successfully, earn more scholarship and get along well with my roommates!
