GTIIT
Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) is a Sino-foreign cooperative educational institution located in Shantou, Guangdong Province, China. GTIIT was formally established in 2016 as a result of the unique cooperation between Shantou University (STU) and the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (the Technion). GTIIT welcomed its first cohort in 2017. GTIIT is the first Sino-foreign cooperative university with an independent legal entity to introduce China with Israel's high-quality higher education resources.
GTIIT is an international level research-oriented university with unique characteristics. Its vision is to become a world-class international university, conducting cutting-edge research in the fields of science and technology.

Technion
The Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (Technion) is located in Haifa, Israel, which is known for its innovative and entrepreneurship culture. It was established in 1912 and is the oldest university in Israel. Since its establishment, the Technion has achieved many scientific and technological innovations. It recruited first-class faculty members and gave birth to three Nobel Prize winners. In the 2022 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU 2022), the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology ranks 83rd in the world.
Features of GTIIT Graduate Programs
Masters and doctoral degrees are awarded by the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.
International top faculty recourses. The faculty members in GTIIT are selected from the world's top universities and research institutions, and are appointed according to the high standards of the Technion. This ensures high-level teaching, research and global research networks and collaborations.
A dual-supervisor system is implemented, namely each graduate student has an advisor from GTIIT and an advisor from the Technion (Haifa campus). Students will primarily carry out their research and studies at GTIIT in Shantou, China. Masters and doctoral students will spend one or two semesters, correspondingly, at the Technion in Haifa, Israel.
GTIIT has built more than 70 teaching/research world-class level laboratories. The total value of scientific research equipment is worth over 200 million yuan, which provides strong platforms for research.
International application system/process is applied for admission of graduate students. Applicants do not need to take the National Graduate Entrance Examination in China. There are no compulsory requirements in English proficiency test score for candidates in most departments.
Research-oriented master/doctoral programs are offered to the applicants admitted. The admitted candidates receive generous fellowships and waiver of the tuition.
In accordance with the Technion's teaching methods and quality, postgraduate programs in GTIIT are entirely in English. GRE Requirement
MSc
For Mechanical Engineering applicants may require a waiver, which should include a recommendation from the future advisor. Applicants for Mechanical Engineering from non-English speaking countries might be required to take a TOEFL test instead.
For the department of Chemistry, applicants might be required to take the GRE, depending upon the decision of the committee following the interview.
PhD
Candidates in most departments can submit four recommendation letters to apply for a GRE exemption (including 1 letter from the Technion future advisor, and 1 letter from the Master advisor). Applicants for Mechanical Engineering from non-English speaking countries, who are exempt from GRE, might be required to take a TOEFL test instead.
*Candidates who have completed their studies at Technion/GTIIT are exempt from the GRE.

Administrative and academic approval will be issued by GTIIT.

Complete the online application form and pay the application fee.

MSc
The deadline for application for winter semester 2023 admission is March 11, 2023.
(For Technion/GTIIT graduates the deadline for application is April 9, 2023)
PhD
Registration for a PhD program takes place throughout the year.
