The third Student Congress of Guangdong Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) was held in the Auditorium on November 20. Prof. Lin Danming, Pro-Vice Chancellor of GTIIT; Dr. Lawrence Liao, Director of the Student Affairs Office; Ms. Li Min, Secretary of the Youth League Committee; and other members of the Youth League Committee and the Student Party Branch attended the meeting.

The young generation is the future of our country. As the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China mentioned, a nation will prosper only when its young people thrive. China’s young people of today are living in a remarkable time. They have an incomparably broad stage on which to display their full talents and incomparably bright prospects of realizing their dreams. 

Subsequently, Liu Xiaoqi, member of the presidium of the fourth Student Association, delivered a work report with the theme "Strive for the New Era, Persevere in the Future". The report reviews and summarizes the work of the fourth student Association in aspects of serving students, reforming, and organizational development.

Candidates

Li Min addressed the closing session of the Congress. She expressed her gratitude to all who have long cared about and supported the work of the Student Association and anticipated the performance of the new presidium in fulfilling its promise to take the lead in serving students.

The new Student Association will take the Congress as a springboard, and will continue to forge ahead to create a cheery and fresh student organization.
