"Using video as a medium to record the beauty of GTIIT." The 2nd Video Competition of Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology officially launched!

The days at GTIIT pass quickly. About these days, there are a thousand kinds of beauty in  a thousand people's eyes. Maybe because of the scene, maybe because of the people or the things. So, let’s use the lens to record the beauty of GTIIT and share the charm through videos!

Event Description

This competition held by GTIIT News and Public Affairs, GTIIT Youth League Committee and organized by GTIIT Student Ambassador Association. The theme of the competition is "Using video as a medium to record the beauty of GTIIT " and video entries will be collected from all GTers. Submissions can include the following parts:

(1) Colorful campus life

(2) Rich community activities

(3) Wonderful class and teacher-student interaction

(4) Interesting experiments

(5) Various off-campus activities or internship experiences

The winning entries will be awarded. The best entries may be recommended to participate in the city-level, provincial and even national competitions.

and several honorable mentions in this competition. We also prepare certificates for each winner.

Work requirements

There are no restrictions on shooting tools and software. Video formats are unlimited.

The opening/ending credits of GTIIT must be inserted in the work (it will be sent to your email after registration)

Scoring & Announcing Results

Scoring Criteria

The evaluation of this competition will be based on the comprehensive evaluation of the theme, technique, creativity, and expression of the works, then combined with the public rating to get the final score. The specific scoring basis and criteria are as follows:

1. The theme of the work should be positive, original and contain GTIIT and science geek elements.  (30 points)

2. At the technical level, the framing, composition, tone, and clarity will be taken into the consideration. (20 points)

3. The evaluation of the creativity of the work refers to the originality of the subject matter and the innovation of the idea displayed by the work. (20 points)

4. The performance evaluation focuses on whether the style of the work is outstanding and whether the form of the expression is distinct. (20 points)

5. The public score: the public vote will be conducted via the official WeChat account, and the work with the highest number of votes will be given full marks in this section. The works of other entries will receive the score based on the proportion of the number of votes and the highest number of votes (for example, if the highest number of votes is 1000, the mass score of the contestant with the highest number of votes is 10, the mass score of the contestant with 900 votes will be 9).

6. Bonus: the number of views and likes on social platforms; bilingual (Chinese and English) expressions and subtitles, etc. (15 points).

Notice：

1. The university official will have the right to use the videos collected in this activity.

2. You can participate individually or as a team. No more than 3 people per team.

3. Each team (individual) shall submit no more than three works, and the prize will be awarded according to the works. Each prize and bonus shall be shared by the winning team (individual).
