01 Who we are

 

The Student Ambassador Association (hereinafter referred to as GAA) is a professional student service team under the direct supervision of the Admissions Office, which is responsible for selection, allocation and resource support. The association aims to expend the university's influence through admissions promotion and making more people aware of GTIIT.


02 We will participate in


- Winter and Summer Admissions Promotion

- GTIIT Open  Day

- Admissions Q&A in each province

- Campus tour (guiding high school groups, parents of candidates, etc.)

- Multi-angle introduction to the university: majors, studies, life, etc.

04 Where you are needed

 

The Student Ambassador Association implements a flat management model and currently has four departments: Operation Management, Publicity, Planning, and Outreach. All members of the association are awarded the title of "student ambassador" by the recruitment office and receive a letter of appointment for one year.


Operation Management Department:

The operation management department is responsible for the deployment of staff during the promotion period, the management of members' working hours and the management of the association's funds. It also assists in the operation of accounts on Zhihu, WeChat Channels, and Bilibili.


Publicity Department:


This department is responsible for the promotion of GAA, and its daily work includes designing, drawing and producing graphics as well as recording and editing the videos of related events.



Planning Department:


GAA’s core department, connecting and coordinating between various departments, mainly responsible for planning large-scale events, including making detailed plans and managing the workflow of activities. We welcome students who are good at planning and brainstorming!


Outreach Department:


The “face” of GAA, responsible for maintaining contact within the association, conducting joint activities with other organizations inside and outside the campus (if any), introducing GTIIT to the public, and establishing contact inside and outside the university. The daily work is mainly to introduce our university to other people. We welcome students who are enthusiastic and outgoing or eloquent to join the Outreach Department!


Zhihu Operations Program :


This project is mainly responsible for the university's new media operation on Zhihu. We will also provide training on internet new media operation so that everyone can successfully grasp the basic operation ideas.

 

Data analysis team: mainly responsible for analyzing the university's operation data on the platform on a regular basis to provide data information for publicity and attraction.

Editorial team: Collect and discover the university's highlights and write articles to show the university's characteristics to the outside world.

 

You should be passionate about the operation of Zhihu and other self-media platforms. Better to have relevant experience.


Social Research Project:


You will learn research methods that are widely used in business, and apply your knowledge of statistics to reflect the needs of students and parents through questionnaires and interviews to support university admissions improvement. (Interested in social research and user research, and having taken or currently taking a class in mathematical statistics is preferred.)

We expect you to be: proactive, enthusiastic, result-oriented, and problem solving.

We expect the organization to be: executive, effective, and purposeful.

We expect that you will learn how to: get in touch with more people to gain experience; work in a team to develop a sense of cooperation; complete tasks to develop problem-solving skills.

2021 has been an extraordinary year. Since the epidemic last year, GTIIT students and faculty have worked together through the toughest period, all university activities are actively resuming operations, and GTIIT has the largest number of students since its founding.

 

We GAA would like to invite all GTers: whether you are a new or elder student, if you want to promote GTIIT to the society, if you want to let high school students know more about us, if you want to have a deeper understanding of GTIIT, if you want to contribute to your own university, welcome to join our Student Ambassador Association (GAA)!

 

× This association is directly supported by the Admissions Office. Students who have joined other student clubs or the Students’ Union can also apply.
