In order to help freshmen get used to campus life and overcome the discomfort of entering university, Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology held a number of ice-breaking activities during the preparatory period. These activities are independently designed and organized by 15 peer mentors, which made the busy study life during the preparatory period more colorful.

In August, Cohort 2025 integrated into the GTIIT and began to follow their dream. They will open the door to a new world and spend an unforgettable four years together.

At the beginning of the self-introduction session, everyone was very cautious, and all of the mentees seems awkward. Fortunately, the game session opened up everyone's stubbornness.

The "time bomb" game gave everyone the opportunity to sarcastically ask each other questions. The boys "take the lead" to "make things difficult" for each other, and the group that lost had to come on stage and sing for everyone as punishment.

"Say that word quickly" fully tested everyone's strategic skills. Participants use language to "induce" other members to say the words on the card, thereby eliminating other members and winning. In the game, everyone increased their understanding of each other.

In addition, a series of activities such as water gun battle, balloon defense, and skillful ping-pong have been praised by the participating students, and the friendship gradually warmed up in the game.

When playing various games, the extroverted and active students push the atmosphere to a climax. The restrained and shy classmates gradually put down their guard and joined the game. At the end of the activity, many students cried and complained that they hadn't had enough.

The ice-breaking activity is not only a time node in the preparatory period but also the beginning of their four-year-relationship. Hope that everyone can find like-minded friends during the ice-breaking process. And overcome the difficulties together, fight “monsters” and upgrade themselves all the way to “victory”.
