This afternoon, Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province promoting policies on campus, bringing an in-depth explanation about applied basic and basic research of Guangdong Province to the faculty of Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. During the discussion of the faculty, the research team of Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province stated that they will help GTIIT faculty to apply for more high-level research projects and promote the efficient transformation and utilization of scientific and technological innovation results.

What policies that encourage basic scientific research does China have? What kind of favorable policies does Guangdong have? According to the actual situation of GTIIT, what projects can us apply for? This afternoon, Li Ronghua, director of the Basic Research Division of Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, gave a detailed introduction to teachers of GTIIT around these issues and answered the questions one by one. Li Ronghua said that Guangdong is currently actively integrating various resources, optimizing systems and mechanisms, building various laboratories and high-level scientific research institutions and in particular speeding up the construction of high-level universities. “Among all these high-level universities, GTIIT has great potential.” He highly praised the progress made by GTIIT and encouraged GTIIT faculty to apply for scientific research projects and various funds of all levels. “Guangdong Province is seeking for talents with eagerness and we are very optimistic about GTIIT.”
