Face the challenges and never give up

In the Year 2020, in the face of COVID-19 pandemic, GTIIT and Technion stood by each other to get through the difficult times.

GTIIT carried out online teaching activities to ensure that students had access to classes at home. Fortunately, student were able to come back to campus gradually from July. GTIIT has gradually resumed face-to-face teaching with faculty's return to campus. The special experience makes GTers cherish the time at campus even more.

Keep moving and never set limits

The Year 2020 had witnessed the great progress made by GTIIT. The Program of Materials Science and Engineering of GTIIT was included in the list of the First-Class Undergraduate Programs in Guangdong Province; A utility model patent on "soil heavy metal remediation device" was granted by the State Intellectual Property Office; GTIIT and the Research Neutron Source, Forschungs-Neutronenquelle Heinz Maier-Leibnitz (FRM II) of Technical University of Munich (TUM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on academic cooperation and exchanges; GTIIT has opened a new program of Mathematics with Computer Science; The Electron Microscopy Center was constructed to support GTIIT research teams; GTIIT was awarded Top 10 Universities and Colleges in China for India students by Higher Education Review; The construction of sponge campus has achieved great economic and social benefits; The construction of South Campus has been accelerating... 

GTIIT also held Enterprise-University-Research Matching Meeting, the first Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Event (Israeli Business Community), the first Campus Job Fair, etc.

In the Year 2020, GTers worked hard to move towards higher and farther goals. GTers never set limits to their possibilities.

Study hard and play hard

In the Year 2020, the 2020 cohort of GTIIT came here to start their new life. GTIIT students study hard to get closer to their dreams step by step. They achieved great success in all kinds of competitions and activities, such as GTIIT VC-Cup Innovation Challenge, the 2020 Guangdong University Research Findings Commercialization Roadshow Contest and the 2020 “FLTRP · ETIC” National English Speaking, Writing and Reading Contest.

Talented GTIIT students not only performed well academically, but also participated actively in a variety of extracurricular activities, such as icebreaking activities, basketball games, Clubs Night and New Year Activities. Maybe that is why we say university years are great years.

The Chinese New Year is arriving the day after tomorrow.
